Press Release Body: London, October 13, 2008 -- International property developers Maexpa International are going against the tide of financial gloom by developing several projects in both Portugal & Poland. The developer goes further still by constructing a niche development in Portugal aimed at horse lovers every where at Herdade Do Gizo
The property consists private villas set in a complete privacy of 114 hectares of countryside. Comprising 52 villas, some with private swimming pools, Herdade Do Gizo also has a club house as well as the equestrian centre. The estate villas combine tradition with modern comfort, reproducing Alentejo's architecture and bright painted stucco walls, with wide floor to ceiling windows and wood interiors.
Nicholas Marr CEO of overseas property website http://www.Homesgofast.com recently visited Herdade do Gizo "The development is truly unique, the mix of modern styled villas that sit in a rural setting along with the equestrian feel is a complete surprise and not something I have come across before. The location is extremely tranquil and is near to several interesting traditional towns and villages. One village at Evora is a holiday makers dream a UNESCO world heritage town which is located about halfway between the airport and the resort "
The Gizo Estate is just 90 minutes away from Lisbon and also equidistant to the Algarve with excellent link by the A2 motorway. It will also later benefit from the upcoming Beja International Airport which will be just 20Km away when operational in 2010.
Alentejo province touches the Spanish border on the east and the Algarve at its south end. It is one of the most unspoilt natural places to relax in southern Portugal with castellated hilltop towns and Moorish architecture strewn along cobbled streets and quaint alleys.
The Gizo estate has a very wide range of horses available; the horses are between 1.5 and 1.6 metres high. A resident English speaking trainer can give all riders a short assessment before being allowed to saddle up.
